New Sabre for 2012-13 Nationals

Will Fullard has decided that he too wants to experience big fleet one design OTB racing and is building a new sabre in which to compete in the upcoming National Championships to be held in Blairgowrie this summer. He has his work cut out and has been working back late stitching up his hull. It is all good fun, but he got distracted and didn't make it. James managed to borrow a boat and sail in four races in the 130 boat fleet. Big fleet racing is hard to beat and is what Sabre sailing is all about.

Back on track now for the next National Title regatta in Queensland Will has completed construction. He hasn't had the chance to set sail as Tim decided that this was an oportunity to build a mould for the construction of a composite "sabretage" Sabre hull. The plan is to build a foam sandwich hull with a timber deck. There has got to be a market for those who want a good looking, fast and light weight Sabre. In fact orders for two boats have just been placed.
